About Scott Jones

I am passionate about designing and producing bespoke, made-to-measure furniture that you cannot buy from the shops.

Each project is different and I love new challenges which I turn into finished works that delight my customers and meet their storage and interior design needs.

I had a love of woodworking from a young age, playing with bits of wood in my grandfather’s workshop. I learnt my trade at a large joinery company in Cambridge, joining as an apprentice straight from school. The company worked to a very high standard and for high-end clients all over the country, and I ended up working on showcase projects at London locations such as Kensington Palace Gardens, One Hyde Park, Grosvenor place, and Coutts Bank.

After 14 years working for firms specialising in premium work, I decided to set up my own joinery business and have been doing this successfully for over two years.

How Scott Works

I design and build what the customer cannot get elsewhere. I visit the client and discuss their ideas and how I can make their conceptions a reality, enhancing them with my own ideas. Quite often, showing them examples of previous work stimulates new ideas as to their desired end-result.

I produce Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings enabling customers to visualise the project. Once the design is agreed and final measurements made, most work is done off-site in the workshop, then delivered and fitted in minimal time.

The workshop is 900 square feet and I use tools of the highest quality to give me the exacting precision I want. It is very satisfying doing the work but even more so when the customer loves the finished item.
